It's a cliche´ to talk about photography being all about light, but like early 20th century painters, I'm inspired by it and seek to capture it in all of its forms, whether it's the burning glow of twilight in the clear prairie skies, the bright promise of an ice cream cone stand in the middle of the hubbub and rush of the carnival, the reflection of a late afternoon sun off of an old, abandoned building in the warehouse district or the light and water of ocean and fountains. I spend my time exploring all of these in their infinite varieties and take to heart that "the journey is the destination."*
