I took my first photography class at 14. I started out using an old 120mm Rolleiflex camera because it was a non-digital class and that was the only camera I had. There, I learned how to develop film in a darkroom and manipulate negatives among other things. Since then, there are few moments when I'm without a camera. Though I've taken hundreds of thousands of images I still love hearing the sound of a shutter tripping and then looking to see whether I've captured the essence of my subject in the resulting pixels. For me, this blog is an ongoing, chronological reminder that in photography, as in many other pursuits, the "journey is the destination.*"
